Job Description

Responsible for maintaining safe and healthy working conditions at site. Directing and leading the execution of policies to meet the organizations SHE objectives.
Ensure identification of Hazard in factory area and executing corrective actions with respective department Head/ Plant Manager
Lead accidents / incidents investigations and conduct Root Cause Analysis & take corrective measures
Carry out regular safety awareness & training programs across organization.
Carry out HAZOP (Identification process), study modification in existing processes & new process as per set procedures.
Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs
Define the SHE policy & processes and ensure effective implementation, with approval from HOD/Site Head
People development, capability building & retention initiatives undertaken to ensure development of team
Enforce compliance to all SHE/Safety related statutory, legal & regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits and mock drills to detect and eliminate practices / conditions causing adverse impact on safety, health & environment and to ensure emergency preparedness (Fire-Fighting Adequacy etc.)
Ensure that relevant SHE logs & documentation are maintained and regularly review the same
Evaluate hazardous working conditions and practices existing in the plants and take necessary hazard control measures to minimize the same
Inspect, monitor and evaluate hazard control measures & safety programs for value and effectiveness
Overview Sites accident statistics and make recommendations for correction of problem areas
Investigate the adequacy of various systems like exhaust equipment, lighting, ventilation and other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance
Communication & Employee Training
Communicate and motivate safety at all levels across locations:
Responsible for organizing activities such as safety awareness sessions, regular safety training sessions, demonstrations, display posters on regular basis in adherence to SHE budget
Ensure that locations safety-in-charge regularly conduct Toolbox Talks to facilitate health & safety discussions on the job site
Ensure that a safety bulletin board is maintained in order to ensure that the employees are updated about all the safety practices in the Company
